UPP! Surabaya Factory

Together with PT. Sumber Djaja Perkasa from Sidoarjo, Indonesia, Upp! has set up a Joint Venture (JV) called PT. Uppcycle Sustainindo Perkasa. Under this JV, the first pilot of UPP! Circular Plastic Factory is being built in Southeast Asia, operational in 2026. With locally sourced low-value mixed plastic waste we will manufacture drainage systems and construction materials for the local market.

Taken
- Zetten een Upp! Circular Plastic Factory op, die regionaal laagwaardig gemengd plasticafval verwerkt tot robuuste en recyclebare producten (drainagesystemen en bouwmaterialen) voor de regionale markt
- Aanvullen op en versterken van de regionale afvalbeheer- en recyclinginfrastructuur en regionale circulaire economie
- Een oplossing bieden voor de probleemstromen van plastic afval die momenteel bij verbranding, storting en in het milieu terechtkomen.
Technisch: capacity 2.000 – 4.500 ton per annum (1st phase), start-up: Q2 2025
